Hi 14-1 players:) Post your 2021 runs in this thread and I'll keep this first post up to date with everyone's high run. This list is for regular posters here on AZ Billiards. Videos are always in demand and generate good discussion and I'll post links if you upload them. Rules are cue ball fouls only, call pocket, any rack method allowed, any cleaning methodology allowed, run does not have to start from break shot, run can be practice or in an actual game. *Feel free to make the rules more strict if you prefer for yourself. Good luck all!

That's consistent!

First post updated.
With four runs in the 50s in the same session, there’s no question you should be able to do it! You certainly have the skills, it’s just a mental thing at this point!

I wish I’d had some decent runs recently to give me some hope. Maybe I should go for it on our Diamond 7-footer as opposed to a 4-1/4” pocket 10 footer, where I can’t seem to run more than 28 and on the rare occasion 42.

In a three hour practice session today I had four runs in the 50's. A 51, 52, 55, and 56! On a 7' diamond. I am determined to get to 100 this year.
Yeah i value my one training day all above my high runs. i did shoot hr only 85+ but my 6 hour average was almost 50. That´s probably not possible do again... for me at least

I play on a 10 ft antique brunswick and a 9ft diamond with 4 and 3/8th as well. My runs are not as impressive. I have a personal high run of 52 on the 10 ft table and 67 on the 9 ft diamond. I just have easier access to the 7 ft table. I just played for two hours on the 9 ft diamond today and only could run a 28.

I think the 7 ft table is easier. There are some things that are more difficult on it, like dealing with clusters. I also find that it is much easier to scratch while shooting a break shot on the 7 ft table. My personal best on the 7 ft is 94. I accomplished that about two months ago

Not to side track the thread too much, but I think the only people who think a bigger table is easier to run more balls due to more space, have never played straight pool more than one rack on a 7' table that was straight and had real cloth and real balls on it.

and it is so in virtual pool games too. My buddy played some 14.1 on Shooter´s Pool game virtual billiard simulation and I had high run of 59 there. He ran 65 on 7ft. I then proceeded to play two games on 7ft and made 66 to claim spot n1 on game hall of fame :D :ROFLMAO:.
Anyways I play it only 9-footers normally but wanted just to make one more than him coz he made it on 7ft..
Btw it is harder than playing for real. Speed control + lack of 3D space are obstactles that many even good players(real world pro, yes some play there too) can´t overcome.

Btw 52 on 10 ft table is strong score. Good Luck to make hundred at any table size. 100 balls is 100 balls. :)

HIGH RUN STILL TO COME !

I played 1/2 day hooky today. Played completely horrible for 3 hours high run 22, then caught a gear ran a respectable
106.
no video but once again my playing partner can attest to this
I now only post if I have a witness LOL

How does that 106 compare to your PR high run?

Nice run - 3 full racks! I’m going to take my first shot at it tonight.

43

Actually I’ve been busy so I didn’t get a chance to take my first good 14.1 solo practice session until tonight. Just to be able to post a decent number to help my confidence, I moved to an easier table for this session – a 9-footer with 4-3/4” corners as opposed to the 9-foot 4-1/4” corners table or the 10 foot 4-1/4” corners table I normally practice on.

On my second attempt, I managed a 43. It was a smooth 3 racks but I screwed up and did not plan out a good break ball. I made the shot, but missed the pack with the cue ball coming off the end rail behind the pack. I managed a couple more 2 rack runs in the 1-1/2 hour practice session, then called it a night.

At least this gives me one in the books for 2021 for a starting point. I think I’ll stick to an easier table for now to see if I can get some higher runs for my confidence, as opposed to just torturing myself struggling to run more than 28 on the tighter tables.

I am completely confused by your response. I assume your 106 run today was not your record high run? That’s what I was asking and just curious what your record high run is?
It's at least 141, as Gerard posted that in last year's "Challenge" thread.

I should have been clearer. I was playing very bad in yesterdays 4 hour session, so bad that the most i ran was in the 20s
My high run was ten years ago 205 I have no proof only my word, and people who know me know my word is my bond !
