2023 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

Hi 14-1 players Post your 2023 runs in this thread and I'll keep this first post updated with everyone's high run. Videos are welcome, but not required. Rules are: cue ball fouls only, call pocket, any rack method allowed, any cleaning methodology allowed, run does not have to start from break shot, run can be practice or in an actual game, any size table is fine. *Feel free to make the rules more strict if you prefer for yourself. I’m gonna give this a try this year. No high run goal for me, yet. Right now, my goals are to work on break shots. I just can’t get a break out when I break. So, that’s the goal for now. I figure as soon as I can achieve that, the runs will follow

Current high run is a grand 7 balls lol. Set last night, JANUARY 7th.
Update on break progress: first two breaks, made the ball, got a good spread, but the cue ball followed the object ball straight into the pocket! Finally got a break where I made the ball and got a (slight) spread) during the game in the second stats photo.
All games were p,she’d with a sailor butt with an OB carbon shaft, which I was trying for the first time. Play was on a Brunswick Anniversary table, standard size pockets

Lol, just realized I didn't report any scores last year. I'll report a 30 from Jan 04 (no video this time) just to make sure I get at least something up for 2023. Hopefully I'll be able to beat my 55 all-time high this year. Haven't had much time for straight lately, but my other games are going encouragingly.

Keep at it. You will get a good break eventually and have more targets to shoot at. I have plenty of break shots that I miss, get one ball and don’t have a shot or only run a few. Even with all the balls spread out it amazes me how often I roll the cue ball into exactly the wrong place. I knew Sailor a little, that guy was a pool fanatic. Have fun, the game is an endless series of ever-changing puzzles to solve.
