2023 World Snooker Championship / April 15th - May 1st

I just watched some of the replay on DAZN. Ronnie leads 10-6.
The degree of perfect that he attains is incredible. The 12 second shot time comes when he has placed the cue ball exactly as he wanted. Like watching Picaso paint a work of art.

What do you guys think of this small field and selection process applied to pool? I think I like it in that it makes every event important, in order to be top 16 ranking. And, it makes the WC truly the best of the best, without any filler players. And it makes the WC easy to follow. Just 32 total players, with a simple knockout bracket.

I guess what might not translate well is snooker has an established tour that all the pro players are able to compete in regularly. In pool, we have top Filipinos, for example, that would be excluded simply because they can't travel as easily.

Looks like Mark Allen lost quite a bit of weight since last year's WC. Good for him

What do you guys think of the screen barrier between the two tables? I suppose for TV it's more focused. But for the viewers there in person, they can only see one table instead of both.

Well it looks like a very interesting day.
Coming up is O'Sullivan VS Brecel sitting at 10-6 going to 13. At the same time Higgins and Selby resume all square at 4-4. Then the evening session will take take them to a conclusion along with Anthony McGill and Si Jiahui who are all square at 8-8.

Ah the Game Face. Ronnie misses analyzing by commenting is lessons. Along with the Face and how many chances a proper expression can earn.

Luca giving Ronnie a kick-start.. break of 112 Game On! 8-10.
