2024 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

I played the 9 ball ghost on a 7' Diamond yesterday scotch doubles with a 581. I'm a 558. We played 2 sets. We lost the first 3-7. We lost the second 5-7. Then we played a normal set against each other. I lost 5-7. It was a really good experience playing scotch doubles against the ghost. We were not coaching, just playing our own game. But seeing the other's pattern choices was fun. I think I'd like to do that again.
 

Here is my win from last week. Win 7-5, 9 ball ghost, 7' Diamond, Pro-Cut pockets. Fargo 558, 555 robustness. Video sped for my short attention span.
 
I just wrote down all my prior scores from this 2024 thread, which were all on my home 9' GC4, 5" factory pockets.

Total games on the 9': W46 - L168, Win 46 of 214 games, Win of 21.5%

Total games on the 7': W30 - L58, Win 30 of 88 games, Win of 34.1%

I have another month near this barbox. I think I will play it every time I go out, and keep score. I think I can beat it one set a day if I play the whole day.

Yeah. I played sets vs ghost with 11 year old kid lately. I try get video when we finally beat it!

I've decided to add a column for table size and brand. It's a lot easier now than in years past, because all the info is in google sheets, instead of hand written in BB code like I was before. I added everyone's table in the list. If I made an error, please let me know. A few entries I didn't recognize the brand. If you want your brand added to the size, let me know.

No sorting based on table size. Best score still wins. However, if the same player has sets on different table sizes within the same category, I'll include both in the list. So far, only my scores in the 9 ball ghost have a 7' and 9' entry.
 
Some more promotion for One Pocket Ghost. In my opinion: best practice game to improve your position play. Endorphins rush of running 12+ is probably same as running 80+ in straight pool or 5 straight racks in 10 Ball - but faster to achieve in case you have less time on your hands 😅

You motivated me taking one pocket ghost couple times but I kept interrupted always...
One time I ran 15 and was 14th ball 2nd rack and had urgent phone call and had to go :D

Anyways played some 10-ball normal ghost to get back on stroke. Played until i miss and won 9-0(miss 10th rack)
My 3-cushion play have been kind to my cueball control and it feels so good. I can´t wait we get new cloth.

I'm playing in the MR satellite event "The Pennsylvania Open" in a couple weeks. I just marked my table with the MR break box, and the 9 on the spot.

Today's ghost, MR break format:

0-7
2-7
1-7
0-7

10 ball ghost today:

I lived streamed the last set to my buddies. I think I might leave a link here next time. First time ever doing a live stream (on my own camera). I tried to play as fast as I could.

I changed my whole stroke today and my game feels strong. I'll get it soon.
