“SUGGESTED” GHOST CHALLENGE RULES.
Feel free to modify as you see fit.

All games:
-Race to 7
-Break, take ball in hand and try to run out
-Runout is a win for you
-Miss or foul is a win for the ghost
-Cue ball fouls only
-Break scratch - no penalty, take ball in hand and continue
-No restrictions on racking or breaking (magic rack, pattern racking, soft break, are ok)
-Money ball on the break spots up if it goes in the two foot pockets. If it goes in any other pocket, its a win.
-Jump cues ok.

6/9/10-ball specific rules:
-Flukes count
-Early money ball (combo/carom) is a win for you (including BIH shot)
-10 ball is played by 9 ball rules, not WPA called shot 10 ball rules

8-ball specific rules:
-BIH anywhere on table after the break, and can shoot inside or outside of the kitchen.
-8 on the break spots up (not a win)

Pro version for 6/8/9/10
-No BIH after break
-Break scratch is a loss of game
-Optional, GOD version means you must pocket a ball on the break (in addition to the above two), or you lose.

Races to 7 (or higher) will be ordered by W-L first, and date of play 2nd. Races lower than 7 will be ranked lower in the list. Table size does not factor into the ranking order.

If you'd like your FargoRate on the chart, add it to your post. If not established, put a P for preliminary after it.

Table size and brand will be on the chart. Each player's best score only on the chart. If you play on multiple table sizes, your best entry for each size will be kept in the chart. No pocket size recorded, but feel free to add it to your post if you like.

I am in, First attempt at this thread. I went 1-7: 9 ball ghost easy mode. I was kinda rushing under the pressure, will settle down soon as I go.
Nice production quality! Why did you not take ball in hand on some of the games? I didn't watch all of it, but I saw at least 3 racks where you attempted a tough first shot without moving the CB.

Thanks, I saw the BIH thing too and I think it was because I forgot due to It is not part of my routine. I break the balls. then locate the nine, locate any touching balls, review how to run order, locate the two ball and needed Position, Line up my 1 ball pocket and then shoot. BIH every break is not part of that routine so I will need to just add that in my head when I play the ghost.

Not match but just to cheer you guys up who battle vs Ghost :)
One cool rack when I was playing vs "9-ball God"
first shot I knew how to shoot because playing a lot 3-cushion lately. That game add so much more to your shot arsenal it is unreal :)
Nice! You sure didn't take long to think about it. And you had the added difficulty of having to elevate and bridge over a ball.

I was not gonna put this one up but I watched it and I think; even I am slow and in pain the quality of breaks and play was so good I wanted to start 2024 with a nice one.
5 pack opener vs "9-ball god" and I quit on 8-6 lead due rheumatism pains. I was gonna play race to 21 but that did not happen.. Played 1.1 2024 early morning. Did not edit properly. I tried cut most of my slow stuff away and I also mention scores and random comments while play.

Edit: it might take still some time until Youtube have it full HD.

Your shooting quality is still impressive even when off Poolmanis, Congratulations and great work keeping yourself up.
Question to the thread people, When it comes to videos submissions here are we looking for more or less, I am more asking should we/I post up any attempts or only ones that tie or break your old record.? I do not want to muddy up a field with videos no one is interested in seeing.

I think all attempts are nice. I myself play ghost frequently and often i don´t count score. I just count packs. I post matches that have something interesting when i check it out later.
When i take serious match vs Ghost I often post it.
This is not competition.
all scores are good but i think more interesting videos are when player plays good or make interesting shots. Also when posting matches some What Would You Do(WWYD) situtations with timestamps are often interesting.

Shaun Murph-esque! Played a couple shots like this recently, can DM but won't post here as it's not 'ghost' or 'god' battling. Agree with you about the help other games can bring into our 9-ball game. 3-cushion and 2/3/5 are highly underrated games that I wish A) more people would play with me, and B) I was much better at :ROFLMAO:
I'll give the ghost a game sometime this week. good luck this year everyone :)

I remember watching this match.
Unbelievable stuff! - Shaun Murphy really is something else on the green baize. His innovativeness has grown and grown. Whether it's in matchplay, equipment experimentation or generally his thoughts on the great game.

:)ROFLMAO: the referee sure could be a distraction for some I imagine)

I know I might be... happened more than once for me ...

First try this year is a lucky 3-7 ghost wins. Only one full run. Have it on video but is a sad first attempt especially with my break working as good as it was. Course I’ve been playing bad all night. I’ll upload my 1 run if I can figure it out. Rest of video not worth watching….lol

My first run of the year vs ghost. All those 2’s…Left my worst shot on here. The shot on the 2 ball outstretched was definitely my worst shot. Easy but was in a hurry cause was about to play a set. After watching I’m wondering what I did with my stick after shot on 3rd 2 in front of camera. Watch the butt of the stick. I can’t figure it out. it’s like my elbow clicks or something after the follow through. At 4:30. Maybe that’s natural. I don’t know if it’s a bad thing or habit or a 1 off.
