have to disagree here, desislava is a great ref. doesn't have the michaela tabb or marcel crowd control, but crowd is less rowdy these days (higher ticket prices)

after all these years of seeing snooker players waiting around for their next match to begin, why aren’t the streets around the crucible full of temples and chapels and churches and mosques?

Norfolk St where the Crucible is does have 4 churches / chapels on it. There is the Methodist church, United reform church, St Marie's cathedral (beautiful building) and the Unitarian chapel.
Anything else you would like to know?

How come I cannot access the Higgins v. Williams match? I click LIVE NOW, and nothing comes up. Did they stop streaming this match with Williams on the hill? Good grief, man!

i won’t remember where i saw this but a few years ago, maybe three, steve davis made the comment that of the three ‘92ers’ that higgins would have the most ‘longevity’ because he’s more of just a normal person, while both o’sullivan and williams are kinda far out and kooky
 
Higgins misses frame ball at 67. Mark Williams just hit a red and a black in that order to win, and his fumbles. What a nail-biter.

Williams out of line on black at 25 pounds, misses, allows Higgins to run out with an easy layout. What a nail-biter!

Williams fights back and gets a wee bit out of line on red. Instead of playing it, he plays safe. Leaving John not much.
