Here’s one of my Hustler’s.

Weight of the empty case is 1.4kg.

The leather is rustic brown and the interior tubes are black.

All of my cases are handcrafted and one of a kind.

The leather is excellent quality but when I tell that to my tanner he says “I know that it’s not made by baker”.😂😂😂

Careful with this guy. I ordered one custom case with no problem. Spoke to him about a new case. He got me to pay the deposit and then decided he didn’t want to do the pockets as I wanted. Stole my money. I have all emails and PayPal receipts if anyone is interested. Just don’t want to see someone screwed over.

Shane

Hello Shane,

I never ever screwed someone like you saying.

I really don’t know what happened to you.

After you changed your mind about 20 times about design and after I give you a price like to a friend.

All that because I appreciate you and we worked together before.

I bought a leather for your new case and after I started working.
I cut the pieces and prepared it for dyeing.

You have sent me email that you want to cancel.

That’s the last time you try to contact me.

You didn’t asked me to return your deposit after that.

Do you really think I would make all these cases just to steal your money?

I really don’t know what went wrong with you.

Do you know what deposit means?

About the pockets..

Since you didn’t want to spend a lot of money for the case I gave you a good price but if we skip making a three pockets.
That’s a lot of work and I think it was ok with you.

After you change your mind so many times you asked for pockets again.

It’s not that I don’t want to make it but not at the same price.

Do you know what custom means? My design not your pockets. My size. You broke the deal not me therefore deposit should be refundable. If I wouldn’t have sent f&f because I thought you were a standup guy I would’ve had my money back months ago. Everyone should use goods and services with you so when you decide you can’t do what they want there will be some recourse. This is the last time I’ll respond to a thief. Haven’t replied to an email in months but when I tell the truth about you here a response in minutes. Good luck in the future and bye

I just cannot believe that you waited for this moment and not sent me email first..

So you think it’s Ok to ask for a deposit refund even if I started with leatherwork?

At least 40 emails and so much time spent on you is not a problem for me but I have paid for the leather and cut it for you.
Then you cancelled it.. after that you didn’t contacted me until this moment…

YOU showed what kind of person you are when you have no courage to tell me that before you go public.

Check your emails and PayPal request. If anyone wants to see the email thread and see how many unanswered emails I sent they just need to ask. I didn’t cancel you refused to make my pocket tray fit. I made a deposit for a custom case not a case that you build standard to your specs. Since your wouldn’t make the case the way I wanted yes o do think it deserves a refund. Before you buy leather and start work you probably should have a finished design. Had you said you wouldn’t do what I wanted with the pockets I never would’ve sent the deposit. You keep the money obviously you need than me since you are willing to take it and then ignore every email and request since November. You are correct I did quit trying to contact you because you weren’t ghost all of a sudden just like I would expect from a weasel scammer. I will attach my two cents to everyone of your listing from now on. Supposed to be a pool players site and I don’t want anyone else to go through this with you.

Not really any of my business to jump into this, but I got a custom case (truly custom, features that aren't standard for him) from Dinko and had an amazing positive experience from the first email through finished product delivery. I'd recommend Dinko for very top notch custom cases to anyone, and I find it very hard to believe the claims here against him here are true. In this tiny niche industry an event like this can really damage a small business, and I'd like to support Dinko as much as possible. So to @Shane325 - yeah, please do post the full chain of emails here so we can get a full view of the actual content & sequence of events between you two. Then we'll judge for ourselves. Cheers

Hello there Dinko2222. What is the best way to put in a custom order with you? I have a few people looking for some nice custom case work. I showed them pics from the last few case builds that you posted on here and they were a hit. If you could pls send me your contact info and I will have them contact you direct. Thank you for your help and Happy New Year bud.

Received my case from Dinko after reviewing details with him. Made everything clear with him and only hang up was color. I wanted grey and he couldn’t get it done. He didn’t clearly say he couldn’t. He showed me pictures and I proceeded with the order. Turns out the color he made looks great in person. I could see where a hang up would occur with custom features. But Dinko was super responsive every step of the way. I would still buy a case from Dinko, his work is top notch.

Shane,

Last email from you was on 7 December 2022.

You said:

I think I do want to cancel. I don’t want to settle for something and still not 100% on tooling.

Thank you
Shane

I don’t understand what’s happening with you.
Honestly after you cancel the order I was thinking you might change your mind again and maybe we will finish it.

I never told you I don’t want to do something..

Anyway you did here what you think is right but if I were you I’d just send email or PM before..

So you did your thing and damaged my reputation.

Thanks everyone who supported me and I hope things like this will not happen in future.

Just my two cents. The fine quality of Dinko's work also speaks to his character. Folks who possess ability like Dinko's have no need to con. At worst, this situation appears to be one of a failure of communication. Since Shane has offered, he needs to post all of the communications between the two.

Dinko is nice guy to deal with. I have a close pal in Croatia who’s a friend of his.

I ordered a dealer case from him, unfortunately due to Covid and shipping from Croatia to Taiwan. The case was stucked for almost 3-4 months before it got delivered. Case arrived damaged, I contacted Dinko. We’re still working on a way to fix my damaged case.

All in all, nice guy, we were just unlucky with shipping. Hopefully I’ll get my case fixed soon. *fingers crossed*

I am still going to order my next case like we originally planned and discussed on email. Because I like Dinko’s workmanship and style.

Fyi, Dinko has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, actually should have met in person by now but travel further generally. Absolute perfect job on my old case, been 2 yrs ago by now, then again am not fussy and easy to deal with ;) Thanks again Dinko

Dinko has made me two custom cases over the last two years and he is without a doubt one of the most responsive members here on AZ. His workmanship is top-notch and he kept me informed every step of the way on both case orders. I would not hesitate to work with him again.

Well that Shane guy never followed up on his own offer to substantiate his frothy little rant, and the rest of Dinko’s customers chiming in here all have 100% positive feedback, so I think its safe to say that guy was just a kooky critter with some communications problems.

Rock on Dinko!

Not really fair. I've had bad experiences with Tascarella and jjcue and they are often praised on here. Sometimes you don't know the measure of a company until something unusual happens and there is a stress test. As consumers, we can read ALL the reviews and decide for ourselves whether to proceed. To shout down someone who had a bad experience is not the way to proceed in my opinion--rather it's better to do what other people did: tell about their experience. And, of course, it's informative to hear the other side of the story, which Dinko provided.

Agreed with some of your points actually. But I didn’t shout the guy down. I respectfully asked him to followthru on his own offer to substantiate his story & he did not & I simply pointed that out. Not sure whats “unfair” about that.

What you wrote is mostly true, but its also true that negative feedback has much more impact than positive & its very easy for a disgruntled Karen to create damage by simply mouthing off on a keyboard, when the issue may have actually been on their side of the engagement. To spew off as strongly as he did on a public forum, and then not substantiate it - in my opinion is not cool. Our pool world here is small & I think its ok to support the good guys. If you disagree, thats cool also.

In any case, Dinko’s work & feedback stand strong on their own merit & this thread doesn’t need cluttered up with more BS. Hopefully Shane & Dinko can find a mutually agreeable solution, and life goes on.

Cheers ✌️

Thanks so much for everyone who supported me !!!
I never thought I’d be in position like but here it is.

I have worked with Shane before and he asked me to make him a leather golf club sleeves. That I couldn’t make because I don’t have clubs and in my country golf courses are really rare.

Anyway I was asked to make him a case and he paid me a deposit of 150$ for the 4x8 case.( I didn’t stole his money).

He chose to use friends and family at PayPal to skip 5% fees. ( I certainly didn’t do that for him)

He said he was not in a hurry and during the period before I was started he was thinking about design and details. (Completely normal thing to do but he did a lot of thinking)

We contacted at 5,6,7 December 22 and here’s screenshots.

After that last email from 7 December I had already started with leatherwork and honestly I didn’t expect him to cancel it and I was upset pretty much.

He didn’t contact me since and I was keep making other cases and waiting for him.

Emails are showing that we didn’t argue about pockets at all.

He really shocked me here..and did something what cannot be undone..

I don’t know what went wrong between us.

Yeah I agree with the comment above but criticism of some crafted cases is one thing and
call someone a thief without sending an email first and ask for a refund.

He did send a request on PayPal at 24 December not at November like he said and unfortunately I didn’t check my account during the holidays.

Otherwise this all would never happen.
