25 ounce!? - Hit softballs with it in the afternoon, and break pool balls at night...

A few days? I'll give you a whole week to get it finished!

No, seriously I've been wanting to try one of your break cues.

at the very minimum pete, i have to say 8 months
your turn

i guess
or break heads
thats what the fella wanted
thats what he got

Well, you did a real nice job on it. It looks great. Can you imagine seeing somebody like Charlie Bryant using, utilizing, and actually controlling a 25 oz break cue?... I get this mental pic of a bunch of pool balls jumping off the table and rolling out the door, cursin' like a bunch of whooped-ass little gremlins. Can't help it.

25 oz

I have a 25 oz cue that I broke with in the late 70's. Now I break with a 15 oz and can control better and get more out of the break. Is it I am older and don't have the power anymore or is it that a light cue is faster and therefore more action on the objest balls.
I hope this richardson does well with his 25 cause this richardson can't do sowell anymore.

Nice looking cue Brent. Did you use paint or use dye? It looks like it'll do some serious damage to any balls it hits)

yes, another richardson, LOL
im with you on light, mine's 15.50
i have no arm strength whatsoever anymore
my dads 74 now, his break cue is 23 and does fine with it

in case you were wondering where all the wieght came from

there's 5 (approx. 1.50 oz) inches of 3/8 x 10 stainless at A-joint too

5" of 5/8x11 rod threaded into tenon coming off the ivorine 4 thru the purpleheart sleeve

I think lighter is faster personally. I have a J&J that breaks very well, but I took that long weight bolt out, and it breaks a whole lot better.

i agree, lighter is better for ME
and you
but there's others that want just the opposite
my break is so piss poor, if i used a bazooka i couldnt make a ball

To me the cue looks great and a neat idea to dye or paint the purple heart.
It is amazing how light works for some and heavy for others. I like to play with a 20 oz cue and that is a great weight. But breaking I have to go lighter. I don't know why and if I live as long as your dad I hope that I can still swing a cue. I hope that my two boys will still be playing pool with me at that age. The two of you have it great something you can do together,
my boys and I fish a lot but that is about all we do together since we live so far apart. But we do make time for that.
Heres to you and your dad, Have a great weekend.
