The Mali cue looks like a fair deal. The ones I have hit with are solid and are better than many other cues in that price range. I have a Sneaky Pete from Showcase Billiards in Denver and it is just fantastic. Don't know if they still make them, but I highly recommend checking it out.

If you could go 300 I still have that McDermott. Have seen those Clint Putman cues on Ebay? I've never tried one, but I'm sure people on the forum could let you know about them. Good Luck.

i have an awesome cutom Jerico fancsy sneakypete i'll let go for 225. it has a radial pin and is made from the most beautiful peice of bacote i have ever seen. the onlyflaw it has is a small chip in the finish on the shaft near where it meets the butt section. hardly noticable and doesn't effect play at all. great cue at a great price

I've got a Meucci Propellor cue I could let go for $250. One shaft, 95% condition. I also have a Joss kinda sneaky pete with a custom shaft I could let you have for $200. One shaft 90% condition.

This is the one he should buy. A Jericho, and a very nice looking cue.
Beautiful wood and love the forearm.

1pRoscoe - Get your eyes checked, Bacote is NOT ugly, even compared
to cocobolo.
 
I have a brand new Bludworth sneaky pete with the red dot. Great hitting cue. You can have it for $250 shipped.

Check out my fancy sneaky I just go from jack in the cue gallery, I got it for 250, that is exactly in your price range. It would be the best 250 you ever spent.

If you can swing a few extra bucks, have a look at the group of Ariel Carmeli petes I posted recently here. They are more like low end custom cues than sneaky petes. See if one of them fits your playing specs. You won't be disappointed.
