25th Anniversary Meucci Cue

I've been looking at a 25th Anniversary Meucci. It's number 4 of 25. The joint is silver and there are silver inlays. I don't have a blue book. Anyone know a listed price on this cue? It must be rare.
 
topcat1953...The joint cannot be silver. It could be "nickle-silver", but silver is too soft of a metal to use in a joint. Inlays are another matter. Pure silver is routinely used in cue inlays. I'd be skeptical of any Meucci these days. The quality just isn't what it used to be, particularly in the last 10 years. As to the value, I'd pm Tate here. He has a pretty good bead on many cue values, including Meuccis. www.palmercollector.com

Look at the model MTC04 meucci before you make up your mind about this one. I'm not saying that this one doesn't have ivory and silver but the original design doesn't. Hope I'm wrong.
 
The mtc 4 can be purchased for $695 through a couple websites. The anniversary model with the alterations would be more valuable in that only 25 were made. I would contact Bob Meucci to see what materials were actually used. Good luck.
 
Thanks for your imput. This is what the response was from the meucci website, if I may quote ................
"these were cues that we made in the year 2000, made with real silver points, joint collar, and real ivory in the points as well. they were made with either ebony or macassar ebony wood. these were very high dollar cues, and i would have no idea what the value is of them today-as you see, there are only 25 that were ever made, and this cue was the basis for our mtc-4 cue that we still sell today. a very valuable cue, and one that should continue to increase in value. i do not remember what they sold for new, but they were very high dollar."

The asking is nearly $4000. And there is a brother with a lighter finish that is very sweet. Hmmmmm. Decisions, decisions.
