It may need to be re-drilled or bored out a little.
It doesn't get any better and the wood is harder than you think
Sometimes the wood shrinks a little and certain cue builders like to make their joints very tight.
I have two cues that have the same issue.

You would be amazed at what a little paste floor wax will do.

I have had shafts that you would have sworn were not tapped deep enough, but a little paste floor wax and they thread on completely normal!

Q wax

Try a little Q Wax (Carnauba Wax) Muellers catalog.
Put a little of the wax on a paper towel- rub on the pin threads-
put cue together - back off- may need to repeat process.

The wood threads in the shaft expand - need alittle lubricant.

Works for me!

liquid? i was told not to use any liquid soap. best to use bar soap.

I Use It All The Time With No Problem

YOU NEED TO LUBRICATE THE THREADS A BIT. IT WILL GO ON ALOT SMOOTHER.

take a little Minkoel (1or2 Trops) on the Pin and you will be happy

i jus put a little bee wax on the joint screw. and it work great!
no more hassle tightening the cue. thanks for the help!!!!! great to be in AZ!!!!!
