I believe Pedro and Michael Kang qualified to represent USA as singles in Belgium last November, Mazin and Hugo qualified as a team for this tournament (It was done in Colombia, last summer)

Here are the Regulations of the UMB that govern the team competition at Viersen:

Each National Federation is free to decide who will represent it.

In the case of the US, it is often a matter of which players are willing to go since there is not a lot of money to send people. I know that ten years ago or so only the air fare was covered by the USBA.

Hello, we did not broadcast this event last year. Situation is like this: Organizer signed a 5-year contract with Dutch production team in 2010. This will end after this years edition, next year the Worldchampionship National Teams will be live on Kozoom!

Mazin and Hugo both won.
