Spoke with Dustin. He is doing a sidepot for the tournament. Probably about $30/Team instead of the initial calcutta.

If there is going to be a calcutta at all, it will probably be on Sunday for the finals.

Side Pot?
Sounds cheaper for the favorites, just charge 180 for entry.

Yeah the side pot adds a little bit more to the final pot. Could be quite a bit. Depends on who all contributes.

Guess the "buyers" don't like it because it doesn't add any money to them. :grin:

Calcutta never adds that much to these tournaments (in this area) anyway. Remember the last one. Side pot seems like a better idea.

Still have a chance for one on Sunday though.

Also, just so everyone knows... Due to an overwhelming response, this tournament has been changed from and 'Open' tournament to a handicapped event.

All combined team handicaps will be the total of the individual teammates and based on their known skill ability and/or their MO-8/BCA/APA rankings.

So... this tourney is now called the '3 MAN TEAM SHOOTOUT'

:smile:The handicapped system will determine whether your team must race to '7/9/11'.

HERE is the Official'3 MAN TEAM SHOOTOUT' event flyer... @ (http://peoriapool.com/tournaments/3man_8ball.pdf)

The individual handicaps will go to 8, hence the highest team handicap will be a 24.

Handicap System:

- 16/under - Race to 7
- 17-20 - Race to 9
- 21-24 - Race to 11

Again, just go to the flyer for further details and if anything should change by chance, then it will be reflected on the flyer. Thanks! :smile:
 
Missouri shootout

Im definitely already booking my hotel for this one. Im going to try to bring a few players from Little Rock to shoot. Might get Randy Cole to come up! He has been shooting pretty damn good lately. I personally will probably just spectate and watch some good pool hopefully.

Well... We all know that no pool tournament ever gets started 'right' on time. It's more of just trying to make sure the players are there before the whistle blows. :p

I have considered it, but with the Break and Rack Daddys tournaments being back to back, I doubt if my wife will allow me to be at three weekends in a row.

I will check to see just in case.
 
How would I be handicapped? I don't play in any leagues.

How about Andy Craig and/or Jim Helt?
