3" sq x 24" should I cut it now

Might we see a pic of said Rosewood?
Brazilian is rather rare and some might like to be reminded of what it looks like.

As to the length, 24" I believe you said that you want to make 1pc butts.
If it's 24", it will have to be lengthened as most butt-sections are 29"+/-.
We have a board-stretcher that gets passed around for whenever someone needs it, as in your case.
I can't remember who had it last, maybe Brent, Rick, Joey, I forget.

This is great timing. I recently acquired some BR that was last touched 80 yrs ago by a woodworker's great-grandfather. Last night I cut one of the 2" thick slabs into 1 1/2" turning squares. It still had BR's distinctive aroma but it wasn't as strong as I anticipated. I guess it dried out a bit over the years.
