30 sec. Shot Clock

If the mens tours had a 30 sec. shot clock like the WPBA most would miss a lot more shots and make a lot more bad judgements. In a lot of the cases they would be almost a ball worse. I have been watching this over the years on the few tournaments they have a year to shoot in 30...not many of them shoot as well as when they can take a few minutes between shots. I believe I have won more money when there is a clock and knowing who it will effect most. Johnnyt

I am pretty much in agreement with most of your opinions. However, I think a few minutes between shots is way too long. I also think 30 seconds between shots, especially tough ones, is not enough. I would think a minute maximum would be enough time to make a decision, with one 30 second time out per player per rack. Since television for the most part butchers-up most of the matches aired, and rarely ever broadcasts live, what's so important about needing the players to shoot within 30 seconds anyway???

I say 45 sec. with 1 extend a rack. Maybe the semi and finals of big money tournaments no limit with in reason. There are a lot of the women that would play closer to the men if they had more time to think between shots. K. Corr shoots a lot better w/o a clock...to name just one Johnnyt
