$300,000 for a cue is this a new record

just talked to this guy on the phone & after beating him down on his price, i was offered the whole shit kit & kabootle for $35 cash......NOT!!!

He took this from my idea! Exept he said four pieces. My idea was eight pieces. It was for a hustler cue.

You could walk into any pool hall and go directly into the bathroom:
1. Pull the four pieces from your front pockets....
2. Put them together with the four pieces in your back pockets.....
3. Take off the linen headband your wearing to wrap around the wrap area....
4. Remove the fake tooth cap, which is actually a press on ferule....
5. Then push the secret compartment button on your shoe to reveal where you store the tips. (Genuine Leather of course)

I have taken this to many production plants and ran it by the managers, they said it was a wonderful idea but weren't sure if it was the future...tsk...tsk.

Now mind you this is an "idea" your paying for, but all the money your saving by not having to carry a cue case offsets the measly price of $100,000,000. Free shipping included!!

Thought I would give you guys an opportunity at first shot before it goes to ebay for twice as much ;) Thank me later.

Your post made my day ! Thanks !

hey, I've had about all the bashing of my ebay item that I can stand for one day. Hopefully someone will buy it or I'll relist it for a lower price.

Ebay should charge for these frivolous postings. I wonder if he got charged the 1% fee of anything over $1000? According to my calculations it should be $3000 service charge for posting that crap.

This guy is not a joke. He is rather a big dreamer. I knew him from my days back in Missouri. He had Andy Gilbert build him a proto type of this cue years ago and never has been able to get a big manufacturer to pick it up and go with it, and pay him a percentage commission. He is a really nice guy, but like many he may think his idea is worth more than the market will pay.
What is strange is he showed his proto type cues around the BCA show and no one wanted to buy his idea, but several collectors want to buy his proto cues for their collections.

Have you guys seen this cue?????

"About 14 years ago I showed the cue to 3 different manufacturers and they all liked it and said it could be manufactured easily enough but were not willing to actually pursue the idea at the time."

Key line in ad.........

hmmmmm

.............well he does have 100% positive feedback.......:grin-square:

You guys laugh at this but I know a lot of APA pool players that would love to buy something like this, they think it would be cool to be able to change the design on the cue from week to week.

How many APA players are there???

Nate

I think the FOR SALE section is for if you actually have an item for sale.
