32 Men Left Standing: Friday 2013 U.S. Open 9-Ball Thread

I would like to know what the biggest package has been on the tv table thus far, and how many of them were early combos. As often as the 9 is gagging up in the pocket, somebody has to have strung a decent number.

Shaw makes his second incredible jump shot of the match - ties it at 2-2.

Aaron

The biggest package so far is 3, by SVB, and it did not include any combos on the 9. There have been a number of 2-packs, and at least 3 of them included one short-game combo on the 9.

I'll bet all these matches are pretty strong to watch. Rodney and Donny Mills are really in combat.

Yours look crisp and clear, much better than mine. I'm going to let you take over with the screenshots. Great job!

yup via attachment seems blurry dont know why. thanks

US Open 9-Ball Championship 2013

10-19-2013 ... update

My Oliver is kicking some Mika butt.

Johnny is pulling out in front, as is Rodney.

Look at Shorty and Shannon, still neck and neck.

Oscar is letting Niels know he's still here.

Body language

On at least two tables you can see players visibly disgusted.

Mika is leading his match 6-4, yes he is obviously unsatisfied.

Shannon trailing in his bout 5-6 only seems to be welcomed to the table by a kick or a bank.

If Ralf made facial expressions he might look to be upset, falling behind in the battle of the "good guys" 3-7 to Tommy.

The only one that seems to be sailing through with no pain is Thorsten.

Mike Dechaine pulling out over Chris Melling, 7 to 5. Chris had the lead for a while.

Sheesh, you guys are too good. I'm going to have to come with a better one. Stay tuned. :grin-square:

Only Niels and Earl look like they don't need their left eye....
....and Earl bends both his knees...therefore Niels.

Sossei makes a brilliant shot only to fall short of shape on the 9. The cue fell to the foot rail and the 9ball looked only to present a bank cross side resting inches off the long rail... Trying to tie the match, he opts to play a ridiculous cut into the side, perhaps leaving it safe if he misses. The 9 pots. The cue ever so slowly rolls towards the corner he was shooting from. Whitey trickled in.

SVB leads 7-5. Huge spread on the break. Seems to be academic. Somehow missed shape on the 4 ball, leaving himself to either kick or jump out of the snooker. Shane elects to jump, misses his mark by nearly a diamond into the corner, but it flukes in 2 rails finding the side pocket. Svb takes the fortunate roll in stride and increases his lead to 3 racks.

Rodney on the hill, 10-5, over Donny Mills.

Mika over Oliver, 9 to 5.

Shorty over Shannon, 9-5.

Shannon has got one foot on a banana peel and the other pointed toward the door
I hope he makes a comeback. Looks like Kennedy is having a great tournament

Wang vs Hjorleifson seems to be stuck at 4-4. Does he really play that slow?

Wang must be having a devil of a time trying to pronounce Hjorleifson's name :D

You know, yesterday, it was the same thing. Wang's game never seemed to end. He must play slow.
