Unnecessary but awesome!

From there i like going off the left side of the yellow 5 rails. long, short, long, short, long. Then whaddya like from there?
I was watching the Seoul world cup live stream and some unknown player had a very similar shot.
He was jacked up like an inch away from the offending ball and went off the other ball to the short rail, then twice around the table from there...and came up short about an inch from the point.
From there i like going off the left side of the yellow 5 rails. long, short, long, short, long.
I couldn't agree more! The people who do not like this choice of shot probably think it is too low-percentage. "Beautiful when it comes off, but it hardly ever does." I can sympathize with that, but there is a second side to the coin. Those who don't like the shot, never play it and it will therefore stay low-percentage. Those who like the shot get more experienced at it, and will start to play it with more confidence. Percentage goes up. Semih is the spiritual father of many bankshots that are out of the ordinary, such as this one, and he has used them to his advantage.
I don't like it, at all. Not at that sharp angle, dodging the yellow at the corner, backing up off the short rail? If I have the idea right. You know they have stuff like

now? You can draw it out in the same amount of time you go, "left, long, short, long, short, long"
My question is: what's the point of that triangle on a 3C table?
Just shoot from the kitchen already! My question is: what's the point of that triangle on a 3C table?

In pool, one moment of vanity or a desire to gamble can cost you the match. 3C is a little more forgiving, sometimes you can put your money on drawing to an inside straight, hoping it pays off. If you miss and he runs 8, just smile and own it.I couldn't agree more!
what I don't get is, it seems like there is other low percentage shots that are better options.
In pool we have similar style players who play low percentages shots and make those same shots more than others. Yet the same players are notorious for throwing games away.
If you miss and he runs 8, just smile and own it.
I don't think he made it as intended. What's interesting is a Korean player had the exact same layout and made basically the same exact shot
except he picked up one more rail before the first ball and came in at a sharper angle.
But he did get two points for the shot. Seems unfair, somehow.I don't think he made it as intended.
