44 Breaks & Only 3 Chances

You might have a point. Not sure I have ever tried the middle ground. I usually soft break them or hit them fairly hard. Maybe next time at the table I will try something in-between. Guess it can't hurt to try. Especially considering I am at my wits end with this table.
You keep blaming the table. If you have done the suggested tests on this table to make sure it doesn't play absurdly slow there is nothing you can expect to change with a different table. Instead of blaming the table work on your break and make it work with realistic results on this table, what happens if you play in a tournament and the tables break just like yours? Tables don't differ much from each other if the pockets are relatively close in size. They all have 6 pockets, cloth that plays roughly the same speed, and cushions that play close to others as long as the table has not been gaffed and that you should be able to tell with speed tests.

I've done all this.

Many times over the years.
Sorry to hear it. Well, since you have exhausted all other options, I guess you'll have to quit pool. You can always come to NPR:

Yes, I contradicted myse3lf there. But what I meant was that I've tried that plenty of times before. I probably just forgot about it and thought it sounded like something different.

There isn't anything I haven't tried over the last 20+ years.
You have good equipment, can get a tight rack. At home you can pattern rack if you want.
I just feel like some combo of speed/ cueball placement has to give you a decent result.
I'm very confused by you saying you've tried everything.
Maybe rack a little higher or lower. It just makes no sense.

-"Hey Bob! Just came back from fishing, man it was terrible, not a single bite!"
-"What were you using?"
-"Spinner, green"
-"Did you try something else?"
-"It's my favourite bait, I never use anything else"
-"Where did you fish from?"
-"The camp site"
-"Did you try from somewhere else?"
-"Nah, I'm so unlucky. The lake is horrible, not a fish in it"
-"Did you try retrieving slower, faster or more erratic?"
-"Nah, with my luck and this terrible lake, there is no point"
-"I mean, you tried something that didn't work. Then you complain and refuse to change anything. What do you want out of this? Here, have a beer and shut up"
Straightpool_99 You'll be on his ignore list before he finishes the 4th line.

Just got done racking and breaking racks of 9-Ball on my Gold Crown IV. I counted and I broke 44 racks and only had three decent chances to run out. I got out once and hosed up the two others.

This has been going on for years and years and years. I know you posters are sick and tired of hearing it. But I've just about reached my wits end with this GCIV. It has to be a bad breaking table. And even when I did make a ball almost every time I had a real bad spread, literally no chance at all.

I guarantee you that if my renters decide they don't want to renew my upstairs apartment above my garage for storage next year I am going to get a Diamond Professional table. I've just had it with this GCIV. And yes, like I said in the other thread, that means I will have two home tables. Once I convince myself the Diamond Professional is a better playing table I will either just keep both or try and sell the GCIV.

Stay tuned...........

I've offered you a free lesson, which you turned down. So what would you like ME to do for YOU?

The gods are clearly angry.

First, build an alter out of wood.

(Tip-use the Golden Oak wood legs and rails from one of those 8 foot Olhausen tables.)

Add fire and goat.
In every hair, there is good.

maybe glue some cyclop skittle balls to the olhausen altar. recite some verses from that zach bryan song. he'll be fine
