72 days without a drop of rain. High mountains of Colorado.
Growing up in Eastern Nebraska, fireworks were a huge thing. So many good times that I remember fondly.
With the lack of rain and many fires surrounding me I really don't think fireworks would be a good idea.

Probably spend the day hitting balls, no sparks!

I’m mildly concerned we might get some where I am because of this heat wave a very sparse at best rain lately. Had a major drought earlier in the year until early June. I think we went something like 100 days with 0 rain but maybe I’m a little off on that.

I remember the authentic Chinese Duck, Camel, and maybe there was a Pigeon brand fire crackers. There also used to be cracker balls - pea sized impact 'ordnance' now illegal.
I celebrate by living as free as possible.

Being a good Montanan we'd either go to a Veterans group BBQ and picnic up in the Mt side of the Big Horn Mtns , or a rodeo which was either all local contestants a Ranch Rodeo if you will or drive to Red Lodge for the parade then the Rodeo and fireworks afterwards .

Then i quit drinking adult beverages so I'd go up to A out of the way spot up in the Beartooth mtns for fishing and relaxing then watch fireworks from different ranches , and towns from the side of the mtns while sitting on a jeep trail ! A slice of heaven in my way of thinking !

Now days I stay at home where we BBQ , play various games and watch grandkids run and play to burn off some extra energy before it's dark enough to light fireworks .

Personally I'd like to be in the Washington DC area to watch the fireworks from a distance , yes I'm sure there's going to be plenty of videos floating around to watch it . Then I don't have to deal with the crowds ha ha .

I love fireworks...but but but I will not stay around fireworks set off by DRUNKS. Crimes should be enforced when kids are hurt by fireworks. I go to professional firework shows and tailgate .
