After my getting shellacked this past weekend down in Houma, LA, you would think I have had enough spanking for a while but noooooo, not me. I didn't play my best this past weekend and I just can't stand being beat up on for long so.........

It looks like I will be showing up for this Saturday and Sunday event in Atlanta. I really love the weekend events as it doesn't take so much time away from the work week.

After feeding the pit bull and giving the wife her generous stipend for the Shopping Channels, I will fly in on Saturday morning, take the Marta to my buddy's house (it's quicker, less trouble and more economical than anything I have ever seen) which is only a half block off of one of the Marta stops. I'll barely have time to make it to the event but if I wake up on time Saturday morning, if I don't take the wrong Marta, if the airlines don't fail me, if we don't get a flat one the way to Mr. Cues II, I will make it on time.:D

I would love to start taking some photos to share with the online posters although I am not a photographer. More importantly, I would like to play better than I did this past weekend.

See you this weekend Joey.Have a safe trip.

Best Wishes,

Steve

You are one of the main reasons for me making this trip. I need another Steve Lomax shaft. :D

I'll also most likely see my buddies Matt90, Stan and Landon Shuffett, maybe Phil Burford and his crew and all of the Atlanta guys. The last time I saw Cliff Joyner, he said, "I got something for you" but I never got it so I guess he will be looking to give me that gift this coming weekend.

This tournament should bring in HUNDREDS from all over the South. There might be one player from across the pond. Thanks for supporting the event Stick. Stay close to your phone and be in dead sweat.
Best Regards,

Planning on being there if I can get one of my old junker Lincolns ready in time. When It rains it pours. Two cars and both are in the shop. Could the stars be trying to tell me something?

I don't have the number to the motel 6 but it is directly behind Mr cues. Maybe 500-1000 feet + there are plenty of other hotels just down the road.

What size tables are the Saturday and Sunday events played on? And what type cue ball will be used?
Thanks,
JoeyA

Brunswick gold crown 5's 4 1/2 by 9. Not sure about the cueball.See you Saturday, have a safe trip.

Best Wishes,

Steve

I was just there and the tables they play slow but ok .... Pockets are big to me .

The gc5's in the room are 8' for league play. The gc4's are 9' for all the "players" tournaments. Ball sets are mixed, even across the 9' tables.

Guys, the room is great. The tables play nicely, and the food is great. Just make sure you bring your own chalk. They don't have Master's. Its some junk chalk. Other than that, everything is very nice.

That's a GREAT tip. Thanks.

Can anyone else confirm if they will be using the Measle Ball?

JoeA, I was there this afternoon. Every table is slightly different. They have centennial object balls, Aramith object balls, measles cue balls, red circle cue balls, and even some no-marking plain white cue balls. I've also seen a few tables where most of the balls are centennials, but there was one or two higher numbered stripe that was not a centennial. I didn't see this in the 1 through 9 balls, however.

In other words, be ready for anything;)
