Hey ya'll,

I'm in the market for a cue with a 5/16-14 piloted joint. The rub is, I'm looking for the buttsection of the cue only. I've got a few spare shafts that fit this thread pattern, and only 1 cue (now) that'll take this type of shaft.

Anybody out there got a halfway decent looking/playing cue butt section their wanting to part with?

I've got a couple full cues with this joint type in the works...but still need to find a match to the ones I have as spares.

If you've got something you're looking to unload, drop me a PM with a good description and price you're looking to get for it.

Thanks much, folks.

Karella K-1

Hey Mark,

Not that your'e looking for a full cue......but I do have a very nice Karella K-1 butt which comes with two (2) nice shafts :D only $250.

Nice highly figured forearm with points and veneers and inlays (ivory?) and matching (ivory?) inlays on the butt too! ;)

Hiya Ken,

Thank you much for putting the Karella up as a possibility...but I'm trying to keep my cues-to-shafts ratio as even as possible! :) I'm constantly doing math with my cue and case options, and getting another full cue would SO mess up my formula!!! :D

Anything else in your stash with that thread that you'd be willing to piece out?

Anybody else got a "spare" out there??...or a cue with a great back end, but a warped/split/poorly made shaft that they don't need/want?

I'm open to just about any decently made cue!

Thanks ya'll!!!

Hey Mark,

Sorry I wasn't around for your Ebay sale. I wanted a shot at your Palmerino, but it looks like my buddy Rick got it, so maybe I'll have to trade him out of it somewhere down the line!

Hey, I have a butt that might work for you. It's a real solid Nova cue butt that the owner of Nova used for his personal playing cue. This is the deal on it. It is made out of dymondwood, which is what he makes his shaft inserts out of. If you're not familiar with dymondwood, it's wood laminated with phenolic resin. He said he was thinking about making a cue with the same general notion as the Predator shaft, but in the handle, basically because the laminated wood doesn't warp as bad as regular wood. He made this butt to test out the theory. Only problem was he has an awesome finish that he hand rubs on his cues that just didn't take well to the dymondwood. Instead of his normal high gloss, this one looks like a hand rubbed varnish with a satin finish. It is plain dark reddish brown with a phenolic joint and a nice textured black leather wrap. It has a black phenolic ring with a silver ring just under the joint. It's the old style where you can see the cloth in the phenolic. He just didn't like the fact that it didn't turn out all bright and shiny like most of his stuff, and yet feels really nice. This would be a great player with a 5/16-14 shaft. This actually had a couple of shafts when I got it, but I use a Nova for my playing cue and I can just keep them, so you don't have that expense. I would need to get $175 + shipping for it. If it sounds like something you might be interested in, please email me at PSwan4@aol.com, and I'll get you some pictures.

Take care,

Steve

Hi Hunter. PM sent.

If you talk to your buddy Rick, let him know I sent the cue to him today! He paid me yesterday morning, but I had already left for work, and couldn't get home until after the Post Office closed. I sent him an e-mail with the insurance and delivery confirmation info...wanted to be sure he knew that.

Thanks a ton....and trading him for the Palmer would be a good move on your end. That cue is SWEET!!!

We have a sneaky pete butt for $50.00 shipped 5/16-14 thread. Thansk
Waldo,

Thanks, but not looking for another sneaky. Trying to find a nice player's cue with a less-than-nice (i.e. - heading for the dumpster) shaft on it.

Thanks, though. Much appreciated for the resposne.

I too am looking for a 5/16x14 butt. The cheaper the better, who made the sneaky and what condition is it in. Is it also a piloted 5/16x14? Is there a joint collar or butt plate? What is the weight of the butt?
