That reminds me of a girl I new years ago. She had a Nike symbol tattooed on her back. I assumed it was to represent the Greek goddess, but she didn't even know what I was talking about. She also thought Madonna wrote American Pie.

Ok...

I was thinking different types of cue woods could be used. And you could even make small plaques out of each wood.

Amboyna Award- Youth under 16
Bacote Award- 17-21 award.
Cocabola Award- Best female player
Redwood Award- Over 70 award..since those trees live so long
Heartwood Award- Sportsmanship award? I know...there is a joke there.
Golden Oak- for the 62 and up

That type of thing? What do you think everyone?

Greg, PM me the different names you like for each catagory. Once we have an acceptable (by your standards) group of names for each one, we can then set up a poll and have people vote on the ones that they like.

Once a poll is posted, you can't add new items/ideas to that poll. You would have to start another one. It's easier to have your options ready before you post the poll.

If you get a chance, PM me the choices you like from this thread, the ones you've come up with yourself, and the ones that others outside of here have mentioned. I'll put up the poll and we'll see which ones folks like best. :)
 
Maybe you could get some drug store to sponsor the event and have the following divisions
Under 16 -Clearasil Cup
Under 21 -Trojan Cup
Over 62 -Viagra Cup
Over 70 -SeaBond Cup
Female -CoverGirl Cup
...or not:D

Groupie is a joke of course. I couldn't come up with anything and since guys in the pool world refer to both female players and fans of the game as groupies, that's all I could think of at the moment.
