Is the tournament on both Valleys and the Gold Crowns? What skill levels are the A-B-C based on?

The tournament will be played on valley tables with red circle cue balls. The Gold Crowns and (hopefully by tournament time) Diamond 9 footers will be for ring games and action purposes.
I am not quite sure how to answer the question about skill levels.

YEah!

First, I don't understand how you race to your handicap...if your handicap is a letter.

And B!

Ok the handicaps are as follows:
C 4
C+ 5
B- 6
B 7
B+ 8
A 9
AA 10
AAA 12
AAA+ 14

this will be the chart that the handicaps will be based on.

You probably need to be known

To be a C player you need to be a known bad player. This tournament is fairly handicapped and unknown underated players soon find out that they can be raised up at any time. ;);)

Thank you Mark. We try to run a fair handicap system at all of our tournaments. With that being said, there are always those few individuals that try to sneak under the radar and "run the stall!" but for those of you that have been to one of our tournaments, this is not what we want to see happen. We do reserve the right to raise any player that is not handicapped fairly and have them restart the match. $5000 added to ANY tournament is a lot of money and those that have entered the competition is trying to get their fair portion of winnings. We try to make the tournaments equally fair for C players all the way to pro/semi pro players. We want to see that everyone has the same opportunity to do well in our tournaments.
Hope to see all of you at this tournament.

It does not get any better

$5000 added, that is a GREAT event. Too bad GM has me on the short leash. Not humanly possible to get off work 6 a.m. Saturday morning and then drive down, I would end up road kill on 67.

Good luck with the event, sorry I am going to miss the calcutta, which I would have down for and played TOO.:p

Can anyone tell me what I would be rated in this tournament? I don't have a league handicap, but somebody down there should know how I play.

Thanks,
Aaron Stoker

So is Chicken Ranch.

Will are you going down there?

Oh I was just kidding, Aaron you are a SOLID A player.

Well, I was kind of talking about the 4-14 thing. I know my entry would be $50, but I doubt I'd make the trip if they were going to put me in as a 12. Playing 12-4 sets on a barbox just isn't my idea of a good time these days, or at least it's not so much fun that I'm going to drive a few hours to do it.

Yeah, you know, nothing against handicapping. I'll drive round the corner to play 12-4 sets and not complain. The drive back from Cape would feel like 12 hours if I went two and out 11-4, 11-4, tho.
