52" Cue

Hi, I am new to the site and look forward to reading and learning more on pool (although I do have experience playing). Anyway, I am in the midst of buying a 7' home table. It will be in a room that will not allow full size cues to be used. I am looking for 52" cues, which seem hard to come by. My local store is recommending Nick Varner cues. He said they make a nice 2 piece 52" cue at a good price. Any other recommendations? When I try and search online, it is hard to find 52" cues. Some sites list them as junior cues, most don't segregate them at all. Not sure all junior cues are even an option. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. I would like to have something to compare to the Varner cues. Thank you.
 
Players, I have a players kid cue
And if you know anything about em, players are the most value in quality of cue for the cash, they'll last forever and be less than 100 bucks, lazer straight and joint match is unrivaled
 
Buy a regular house cue and cut six inches off the butt. It will work until you find another one. I've still got one that I made and used in my garage. Even screwed a bumper on it. That's about the extent of my cue making career. :D

That's what Pat Fleming did - Meucci cue converted to 53". Ran 100 with it vs Grady.

 
An alternative:

My friend has a room that is a bit too small for his table. However we use our regular Billiard cues with few issues. Not that many shots are actually made directly across the table with the cueball on the rail. The vast majority are made at an angle or cueball off the rail which gives you more room for backswing, etc.

He also has his own house room rule. The few times that the cueball is too close to the rail for a full shot, then it is moved out 3 inches from the side. This solves the issue. ...however rarer than you may think and comes up maybe once every few games. Anyways, This rule this solves the issue.

I’d buy a full size cue. Note: check out thrift stores in your area if any. Ours often have a few decent cues for around $10 or so.
