As of 12/9, now considering interesting trades but prefer cash. The cue on the far right:

General description: Sixty inch Auerbach purple heart into straight maple conversion cue, two pro taper shafts, flat faced phenolic joint with a 5/16 pin. Very nice ring work with alternating purple heart, white (phenolic?), and green stained wood (maple?) dashes between polished brass rings. Matching joint protectors with matching ringwork. A white bumper. Nice finish. Cue is straight together and apart. Auerbach is a respected Oklahoma cue maker, you can see their web site and/or look them up in the Blue Book. http://www.auerbachcustomcues.com/

The ugly stuff:
Points are VERY uneven. One point has blatant glue marks near the end. One ferrule looks to be cracked its full length but plays fine. Could be a scratch but I’ll say it is cracked and be done with it. The white phenolic at the joint is showing some grain through in a couple spots where it is otherwise a very pure white, I tried to get pics of this blemish. There are three or four extremely small nicks in the handle area as well as on both shafts, very small and hardly noticeable. The shafts are slightly dirty and could stand a slight burnish. This is a player.

The quantitative Stuff:
60 inches total, 18.3 OZ with shaft one, 18.5 OZ with shaft two, balance point 19 inches from end of butt cap, flat faced phenolic joint
Butt 30 inches, 14.3 OZ, no weight bolt, 21.25mm at joint, 31.9mm at the butt cap, 1 inch long 5/16 x 14 polished stainless end drilled pin
Shafts both 30 inches with brass inserts
Shaft one: 4.0 OZ, 12.3mm, 1 3/16 long ferrule, looks like LePro tip, new tip, 10-11 inch pro taper
Shaft two: 4.2 OZ, 12.4mm, 13/16 long ferrule (cracked), red fiber pad, looks like LePro tip, used tip, 10-11 inch pro taper

How does it play? The qualitative stuff:
I am a long time steel joint man and only 5’7” tall on a good day (OK I left my shoes on, I’m 5’6”) and I use a 58 inch cue. This cue was bought for someone else who ended up buying another cue before even seeing this one (an accident). So, for me this cue feels a mile long and whippy. The hit is solid and transmits a lot of feel like a full splice cue with a phenolic joint should. Nice. I would call the play sort of “sporty” like my old Meucci Original. This is probably a function of the length of this fishing pole…um, I mean pool cue….so for an appropriately taller person it probably is less sporty/whippy. I would call the tips medium/hard. I only hit a few balls with it to check it out so I can’t say more than that.

IMHO cues don't play "lights out" players do, so I won't blow happy up your skirt on that point. I will say that in my estimation this cue is perfectly capable of playing top notch pool in a top pool players hands, it's all up to you.

If you are taller or thinking of making the move to a longer cue, this is for you. Here is a discussion on the matter: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=224945

I believe the cue is about 5 years old and originally sold for between $400 and $450, though it's not on their web site anymore that's what I remember, it could be off.

SOLD! firm shipped in the CONUS. Outside the CONUS PM me and we can talk. I take Paypal and no hassles for you about fees or anything, that's on my end. Think about it, $100 per shaft minimum for a decent shaft, add ring work and a butt and you are at an easy $300, this is half that. :)

Special note: Look at the ring colors with the brass rings. If ever there was a cue made for Christmas....this is it.

More pics to follow.

Small bump for the night crowd.

Great sneaky conversion, great value, two shafts! Gotta dig the white bumper, right?

Thank you so much for your kind words Mike. I do think it is a heck of a deal for a two shaft shooter. :)

Daily Bump. :)

For those of you who haven't noticed, length is all the rage and this cue has it!

Next of course will be girth. Everybody knows it's really about girth.....

Daily bump.

Emails and PMs replied to.

I had an interesting trade offer that will be considered. I do need the cash but the offer inspired me to consider trades. If you have a trade offer, make it. I still prefer the cash but if you want to make a trade offer I will consider it.

Thank you for your kind interest. :)

PM replied to, I need your email address. :)

I'll say- "Cue sold pending payment." :)

Thank you.
