70's Verl Horn Balabushka Tribute-Burton Spain Blank

It is not a burton spain blank
verl made more blanks than anyone and sold them

He made me a few exactly like this cue

These were great cues,I sold one to The mezz

The great player from Oklahoma on Bar boxes played one too

really nice cue, someone should jump on this

I am in Oklahoma-
Everyone here that was acquainted with Verl said The Prather cue shop built all the forearms in his cues-
" Said Verl NEVER built forearms for his cues …….
Before Prather shop , was , like this cue
Burton Spain fronts "
Verl may have also used Gus forearms too .

Verl x-ray'd real 'bushkas to see how they were constructed. They are virtual clones of the real ones. This cue is gorgeous and imagine it plays as good as it looks. Owned a couple Horn's(not like this tho) and they shot lights-out. As Duane said, Prather got their start making forearms and other components for Verl.

Verl taught prather to make the blanks in his shop
after prather got on his own Verl did buy from prather

there was no difference in the blanks that I would be able to tell which

I ran around with Verl, made several road trips and bought many of this model

I woud bet it is not a Burton spain

I don't remember Verl speak of ever using Spain blanks

but who knows? I would wager but I won't guarantee

So no one knows if this cue has a Spain blank? There has to be some way to confirm what the seller has listed. I would like to buy it but not without knowing.

Imo, whether Verl used a Burton blank is insignificant to this cue for what little $ is being asked.

Good maker, good look, good condition, great price = no brainer for someone looking for a vintage classic cue.... Buy it!

On a side note, it also looks to me that black acrylic was used for the sleeve. Hopefully the OP can confirm that..If so it makes the cue even more classic and desireable imo.

I think anyone who buys cues based on what you just stated is a moron...

Thanks for your opinion. That's mine.

I'll probably relist the cue
The original seller doesn't have the info but is more than willing
to take it back.

You won't guarantee it but you'll come on someone's sale thread and throw nonsense around. So much easier and classier in a PM.
