The 1st annual Chuck Markulis Memorial event at Hard Times Billiards in Sacramento took place this last weekend.
92 players at $50 and $3500 added.
92 of California's best and a couple from Nevada, paid their $50 entry fee for the chance at the $3,000.00 first place prize money.
The tournament started at 1pm on Saturday and stopped when we had all the money matches coming back on Sunday.
A new twist was added to the West Coast event. Saturday's races were 7 on the winners and 5 on the one loss side. Sunday the Winners side was increased to 9 games and the One Loss side to 7 games. Seemed everyone really liked the added games and it also added to the excitement.
Almost everyone that was there Saturday came back Sunday and the whole room was packed again.
