Maybe that's the top level or maybe it's the other way around... Guess he'll have to elaborate.Teacherman said:If I don't have any credible info on FrankNCali, he plays as a Master (I assume that is the top level)
But your point is that every new player goes to the highest level. That wouldn't be much incentive for a visiting player to play in that area, if the player wants a legitimate shot to win. Before you fly off the handle, I'm not saying you should underrate em for your area either. Would be better to slightly overrate em, then to do anything else. But for some players that would mean the middle level would be the better option. For some other players, the bottom level would be fine.
Nonetheless, what standards and criteria do you use to shift a player into a different category? Do you do it after just 1 viewing, or do you wait until a number of sessions? Do you maintain any sort of record of the player's skillsets, or are you basically doing it all from memory? So, if a player plays in one tournament, does well but doesn't quite make it to the finals, then that player returns in 6 months or a year, what do you use to best access which level the player should be in? Does anyone else corroborate the decisions, or is it just 1 persons opinions?
