9-Ball - Hohmann vs Pinegar - Live Now On Accu-Stats PPV

Hohmann is warming up and making it look like child's play.

Hohmann and Pinegar just played each other in the last round and Hohmann won. They have now both used their buyback, so this is a race to 7.

Hohmann wins the lag and starts it off with a nice break and run.

Hohmann 1 - 0 Pinegar

Hohmann misses an easy 1-ball and sells out. Pinegar runs out the second rack.

Hohmann 1 - 1 Pinegar

Pinegar makes it look easy.

Pinegar comes with his own break and runout that included a nice 4-5 combo.

Hohmann 1 - 2 Pinegar

What round are they in? How many players left? Who?
Not sure, but if they say something, I'll post what they say. At the beginning of the PPV, they announced about 10 matches, so maybe 20 or so left in the 9-ball. I'm not absolute though.

Pinegar breaks and is forced to play a pushout. Hohmann elects to give the shot back to John. Pinegar comes with a fantastic, elevated safety. Hohmann taps the table in recognition of the shot.

Hohmann has to go 3-rails kicking, but misses. BIH for Pinegar.

Pinegar runs out from the 1-ball to advance his lead.

Hohmann 1 - 3 Pinegar

PASTED FROM JAY HELFERT IN ANOTHER THREAD:

"Fourteen players left, here are the matchups:

Morra vs. Melrose
Smith vs. Brumbach
Appleton vs. Luat (both have no losses)
Lee Van vs. Ralf (both have no losses)
Hennessee vs. Thorsten
Shane vs. Sossei (Shane is undefeated)
Archer vs. Shuff

Everyone else has one loss."

Hohmann breaks. 1-ball in the side, but he's snookered. Looks like he's gonna have to pushout. Pinegar accepts the shot. Safety battle begins.

Hohmann starts torturing Pinegar with safety after safety. Pinegar is now on two fouls. Pinegar gets a good hit finally. Another round of safety plays begins.

It looks like Hohmann is in a trap. Yep. He gets a good hit, but leaves Pinegar a nice table. The 1-ball is finally made.

Pinegar runs out and wins the longest rack of the match (almost 15 minutes).

Hohmann 2 - 4 Pinegar

Both players take a break after the last marathon rack.

Pinegar asks for a rerack before the break and Scott obliges.

Pinegar makes a ball on the break and has a shot on the 1-ball. He makes the 2-ball, but hooks himself on the 3-ball. He tries it anyway and misses, but gets a safe roll.

Hohmann comes to the table looking at nothing. He performs a great safety, creating distance.

Pinegar has no option but to play a safety.

Hohmann has a shot at running out now. He makes the 3-ball, but doesn't get on the right side of the 4-ball. Hohmann has to execute a great shot and does. The rest is cake.

Hohmann 3 - 4 Pinegar

I went to pop some popcorn, so I'm not really sure what happened. Hohmann won the next rack. It is now tied up at 4 games apiece in a race to 7! Both players have already used their buyback.

Hohmann 4 - 4 Pinegar

Hohmann breaks and makes 2 balls on the break. No shot on the 2-ball, but to play safe. Done.

Pinegar takes an intentional foul, tying up balls. Safety battle commences.

Hohmann plays safe.

Pinegar, the man who made it to the bank pool semi-finals comes with a brilliant cross bank! Pinegar then proceeds to make the 4-ball and a great cut shot on the 5-ball, but scratches.

Hohmann bounces back to the table and promptly runs the rest.

Hohmann 5 - 4 Pinegar

Hohmann breaks the wing ball in but must play safe.

Pinegar is left a full 1-ball and comes with another great stroke shot, making the one and opening up the 2-ball. The rest of the rack is money, money, money! Now it's a race to two!

Hohmann 5 - 5 Pinegar

Pinegar breaks and makes a ball. Looks like an easy layout.

Pinegar runs out to get on the hill first.

Hohmann 5 - 6 Pinegar

Brumbeck lost his match and has no buyback. If Pinegar can win this, he will increase his chance at the All-Around money.
