I know not many play 7-ball anymore, but the 9-ball MR turned 90 degrees makes a very good 7-ball rack. With the 4" pockets on my BB I play it for a change of pace when I get tired of the 9-ball ghost beating me. Johnnyt
 
Good tip. Me and my buddy play most every game. Winner chooses next game and sudden death 7 ball is one of them. One safety per rack.
 
Thanks for the tip. Been using the magic rack for a couple weeks now ... awesome. Everyone I show it too wants one .... :thumbup:
 
I too do this. Even without the magic rack 7 ball racks better than any other game since no one ever plays it and there aren't divots in the cloth. My friend and I play by some interesting rules - failure to pocket a ball is BIH for the opponent. Makes the games go by fast.
 
It's a good thing the Magic Rack wasn't around when they were playing tournament 7-ball ( some with 50k purses). The last 2 days i've been pattern racking and found a break spot and speed that makes 3 balls on the break and 3 others go right in front of pockets. the 7th ball stays middle table. It looks like a trick shot the way the balls race to the pockets. I heard the 7-ball ghost squeal, "I pull up, I can't beat ya" lol. Johnnyt
