I don't remember seeing a poll on this before, so I would like a numerical measurement of opinions on this forum.

We have all heard all the arguments.

The 9ball is the only ball that should be called. Calling all other shots ruins a lot of creative 2-way opportunities.

Besides, on a high level, flukes are VERY infrequent.

Also, take the Mika VS SVB set from Galveston. Shane fluked a ball in that set, and so did Mika on the hill. Both times the fluked ball went in the called pocket after hitting 2 rails. Your "non-slop" rule wouldn't have changed anything.

9-ball is suppose to be fast and furious. Anything that slows it down is bad. I would like to see safeties taken out of 9-ball. Your opponent gets ball in hand after every missed shot.
Make the game faster and more exciting, which would be great for TV.

If you want to play a rotation game where all balls are called and there's no slop, just play 10-ball.

The beauty of 9-ball is the creativity it inspires in a truly great player (and the chance it gives players who aren't truly great... like me:wink:).

Don't change the rules of a game that's been established, loved, and played for years- just play something else if it doesn't work for you.
