#9 Irish Linen Time Tunnel

Was doing a search for Cortland #9 Irish Linen and ran across this ad in the August 2, 1939 edition of the Yuma Daily Sun. Wonder if there is a big stash of this laying around somewhere just waiting for someone to find it.

Yeah...it's around.

One guy was cleaning out his grandfather's closet and found six spools recently (50 yd spools). Sold it all for less than 50 bucks.

Whenever I am at the flea market and see somebody with old fishing gear I ask about it. One guy said he had a shed full of old stuff and he thought he had what I was looking for. We exchanged numbers but when I got in touch with him again he had gone through his stuff and said he didn't have any, he thought he sold it a few years ago. He had linen left, but nothing that would work for pool cues.

It's around.

I learned I have to be ready to move when I see it.

I keep thinking somebody will find a stack of boxes full of it in the back of an old warehouse or something.
