Hey Ya'll, I heard from someone that ivory will glow under a blacklight. This would be helpful to see if a cue has an ivory joint, inlays, butt capp etc. Anyone know if this is true?

Hey John, I do not think normal Ivory would glow. However, I heard that Mammoth Ivory from certain parts of Russia Glows. Don't know why but, I would suspect that it is radioactive!!!

I always just rub some chalk on it. Ivory won't hold chalk; You can wipe it off. Maybe some of the new synthetic stuff won't either. I don't know.
