It's like everything else... It varies from Pro to Pro....

Earl uses a soft moori according to Mike...

The best person to answer the what tip in general without asking each and every pro might be Joe Blackburn since he attends so many events and does tons of installs... And as for most very thin I would imagine that's personal preference as well...

Bustamante changes tips often.... as soon as the feel changes and may have several new ones put on and cut off before he is happy.....

Hard and thin would make the most sense from a consistency standpoint but I think feel has to be right for each individual........
 
Layered Tip

Makes sense to me. At least the tip will not break into two pieces along the seam of one of the many layers. I have had that happen more than once with an expensive tip.
