A buddy of mine Danny Green joined Ted Harris making cues. Things went south between them and Danny had a cue of mine at the time for a new real lizard wrap. He had no where to finish it and things were a mess.

I told Danny to forget about the wrap/money and just return the cue. Well, pride would not allow it. He said give him some time. Well, time goes on and Mike Capone finds out about the situation.

He took it upon himself at NO EXPENSE to wrap the cue for me. Needless to say his work is BEAUTIFUL!!! I truly believe he did it for me with NO IDEA who I was just the facts of the situation.

He pumped it out in less then 2 weeks of hearing about the situation. Something he did not have to do. I had already written the wrap off in my mind. I was pleasantly surprised.

Anyway, with so many HORROR stories on the forum. I thought it would be nice and appropriate to acknowledge a good deed and great cue maker/ FAMILY MAN.

Great Guy

Yeah I've talked to Mike on the phone a while back when I was looking for a new cue. I was a broke college kid at the time but he was willing to work with me and my limited funds to see what we could do. Regrettably, I went with another cue but really wish I went with the Capone. Ive shot with his cues a few times now and they definitely play superb. And from the looks of it, he has great customer service.

Thanks for telling your story! Just another example of a good guy trying to help!

Mike Capone

Mike Capone is a great guy and a top cue maker and I first met Mike at the US Open years ago. I've been going to the Open annually for many years and Mike sets up a booth there every year. We talked a few times about cues and I sat down with him one year and ordered a cue. He built my cue in a reasonable amount of time and I was very pleased with his work and the way the cue played.

I liked that cue a lot and I later ran across a used Capone cue on eBay that caught my eye and I bought it based on the sellers pics and description. When I got the cue there was a problem with one of the shafts. Apparently the previous owner had cross threaded one of the shafts onto the joint pin and ruined the threads in the shaft. I called Mike and explained the problem I had with the shaft and he said to send it to him and he'd fix it for me. I didn't know how much it was going to cost, but I needed the shaft fixed so I packed it up and sent it to Mike. He fixed the shaft and shipped it back to me free of charge and I didn't buy the cue from him. It was bought second hand off eBay. Based on how he treated me I'd highly recommend him to anyone who might be interested in a Capone cue. You can't ask for better customer service than what Mike did for me!

We may have seen one another? I left with my two daughters around noon and someone was pulling up with his girl in the car, Just as I was leaving. He ran in and she sat in the car. So, that must have been you?

Mike told me he had a wrap to do on sunday around 10 or 11am for a customer and he would be around so I could pick up the cue. I figured he would be done with them when I arrived around 11:45

I am not surprised to see so many other people chiming in about the good heart and nature of Mike Capone. He is on the good guy list in my opinion.
