Now I know golf has been part of your life....so I'm highly recommending this book by
the same author....as a golfer, you will love it...and every millionaire golfer today owes
Francis Ouimet for starting it all.

A friend gave me this book and bugged me til I read it.....I'm glad I did....
...I remember one scene in the book that made me smile....Harry Vardon asks Ted Ray
how he slept the night before the playoff.....Ted says "I slept like a baby....woke up crying
every two hours."
 
the little fella carrying the bag grew up to become a very
successful businessman,friend of Bing Crosby and a very high stakes gambler

He is the subject of the book "The Match+
 
I loved the movie (Greatest Game Ever Played). I have the book but haven't read it. I believe I will though, and I'll get a copy of The Match and read it too.

Ah, yes, they talked a lot of Eddie Lowery in the first book.....
...a very important part he played in the Ouimet victory...
...he was wiser than a ten year old should be...he instilled his faith in a win to Francis...
...and repeatedly told him "Keep your eye on the ball."

I will enjoy this...he deserves remembrance.

I loved the movie too and just got both books!
