A Couple of Cues by Neil Hammond

I'm in NY for Christmas and a cuemaker friend asked me to post pictures of the first cue here for him. He's been making cues for a couple of years, but is too lazy to sign himself up to post here.

The first one (4 Pointer) is one he just finished with recuts. The second one (8 Pointer - 4 Short Ebony Points don't seem to show up well in the photo) is I think his 4th or 5th cue completed.

He makes some nice looking and good hitting cues.

Tony,
I believe your friend has a talent. Those are fine examples of cuemaking. Neil , hats off to you sir , you make a fine looking cue.
Thanx,

Are these for sale? What would he ask for the top cue?

I don't think these are available. As for his prices, I'm not sure what he charges. I PM'd you his phone number if you're interested.

Hopefully he will read this and get himself registered.

Here's one more. I think it might be available and I think the one in the top with the copper dots may be as well. I can make some calls if somebody is interested.

This one has 5 Cocobolo points going in both directions. He said the next one he makes like this will have veneers too.

What is the process to get points going in both directions?

Each point appears to be a single piece of wood versus two (2) halves jointed together.

Very nice work. :smile-square:

Each point is a single piece of wood. I'm not exactly sure how he does it. He explained it to me, but I haven't seen it. He built some sort of jig to cut the points on his table saw and he cuts the grooves in the cue with his lathe.
