I still kick myself on a regular basis for not buying one of the early Schons when I lived in Milwaukee in '81-'82. They were just getting started and prices were a steal. Who knew Bob Runde was so good? Next best thing to Szamboti, since he used almost all of the same parts and built them pretty close to the same. Dohhhhh . . . .
Nice cues! I love those. The top one brings back special memories.
While playing in my first 64 man tournament at the age of 9, my dad told me he'd give me his Schon if I placed. I'm sure he never figured I might come in 9th.
He paid up. Sucker
Anyhow, I haven't seen one of those since I was very young. Thanks!
always enjoy seeing old schons. great looking cues. i need to get to ky to check on an old 6 point stiched ring i know about. one of the things i marvel at is the great fit of the old yellow micarta ferrules to the shaft. gotta love em!
