A curiousity about CF shafts.

Does anybody here have more experience than the engineers/chemists who work with and design carbon fiber products? If they say simple alcohol that you can get in any pharmacy or grocery store is all you need to efficiently clean your CF shaft, that should settle any doubts. I have had quite a bit of experience so far with three of the major CF shaft manufacturers: Predator, Cuetec and Meucci. All three recommend alcohol and nothing else for their products. I have a large bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol that I've been using for about three years and it works great: easy to use, efficient...and I don't wear a glove.

Doesn't matter. Do what you want brother. Couldn't care less really. Every manufacturer recommend alcohol. Got to be a reason for it.I dont have a Predator.

I use a damp papertowel and then a dry one. Works excellent. I do not use a glove either. Love my Cuetec!!! TFT
I’ve heard that for years. I’ve had my Revo for several years now. It’s seen alcohol maybe two or three times. After I wash my hands, I use the damp second paper towel on it and it’s as slick as new after three years or so.
Carbon Shafts are the latest, and great invention brought to market for people to purchase. Several friends have Carbon Shafts, some like, some love, some are back playing with their old school wood shafts.
The only way to experence if a Carbon Shaft is for you, is to find a place selling them, who let you try before you buy.
Or just buy one for yourself, and do your own testing.

I haven't tried any solutions of any of the CF shafts I own or tried, but for the life of me I thought one company was suggesting to use cue will on it, cannot remember which one though. Maybe I dreamed it.

I have a Becue Prime M and I use Cue Silk on it.
I like it a lot. Makes it way slicker. I use a drop or two and paper towel... you have wait until it dries completely (about 60 sec) and then rub the shaft until it's warm.
This will last a couple of days. Then I wipe/clean the shaft with water and dry it completely and then reapply Cue Silk.

My friend who have tried were mentioned, it another latest greatest Pool product.
Remember in my short life, all the new Cues, Shafts, Accessories that came, went, and are still being sold many. Some accessories do poor jobs of working. But they still are being made n sold.
Like fishing lures, some attract fish, others fisherman.
In 5 years what will be the latest, greastest, and sell like hot cakes. Wish I knew if I did I would buy share of stock in product.
