I just snapped a couple pics tonight as I was getting to work so I thought I would throw up a few. They are oversized and rough turned so the lines on the butterflies look a little funny. I will post some pics later when I get them on handles and a pass on the saw machine so there wont be any chatter marks. All three of the butterfly forearms will have v points when done. I am trying to decide what rings, wraps, buttsleeves ect... I want to use. I am thinking of making one more with 3 butterflies and 3 points. Now if I can just get them all done in time. I am looking forward to the expo, See you there. Chris.

All are Great

As said by others the blue flame is very sweet.

The flamed butterfly nice also.

I like the figure on the maple in the classic titlist too

The Holly? and Ebony pointer is into purpleheart?

I think my fav is the curly maple with butterflys. The veneer combo really works together.

put some sweet ringwork on it please!

Expo Cues!!! Definitly all are gonna be righteous when finished!

Thanks everyone for the compliments and pm's. The purpleheart forearm with the ebony and holly points is not done as are the butterfly forearms. The PH one will get more recuts of holly and ebony. They will be done in an alternating pattern meaning, I am not just doing 4 points with multiple recuts and then rotating it and doing 4 more inbetween the first 4. I will alternate between each set of points with each set of recuts. Oh yeah, the maple on the bottom of the forearm is not the handle. It is just there for the machining process.
I am still planing the rings and handles ect... I will get some updated pictures as they progress so you can see how they turn out. The butterflys look a little jagged in these pictures due to the chatter marks left from when I roughed the points down to the level of the forearm. Chris.

I am thinking purpleheart rings with black/red/black stiches or some sort of inlayed rings at this point. Once the v points are in I will look at it and decide which way to go. What do you think?

Thanks for the overwhelming ammount of pm's and calls. The ebony forearm is sold. I will do another ebony front for the show (not the same ofcourse). I got the points cut into the curly maple forearm today. I will post some pics once the points are turned down. Thanks again. Chris.

Thanks guys! Here is a few I snapped tonight after turning down the points. The purpleheart looks a little bland as it was just cut 2 minutes before these pictures were taken. It should darken up nicely in a few days.

Have to agree that Ebony and blue cue is one sweet looking cue ... I posted the above post Jeff logged in on my computer and left it open after he left my house ... and I did not know I was using his user name ...lol... So I figured I would let you know that ebony and blue cue is one sweet looking cue ...

Sorry king, I forgot ,getting older (YOU KNOW HOW IT IS ,LOL) Later jeff Eason

Here is the group shot of the forearms that will be going on handles this weekend. I still wanted to do a couple more but, I don't think I will have time to get them done even if I do get the points cut in. If I get caught up on my repairs and orders this week I might squeze out 2 more.
Funny, I am already started on cues for the 2010 expo and likely will be behind when that show rolls around. Oh well, being too buisy is never a bad thing.

Great looking cues. Your work is getting better and better, Chris. Can't wait for my cues to be completed :D

Thanks Benny. I was working on your joint rings last night. I will get you some pics as soon as I get them on the cue. Chris.
