It all started with a meeting of two talented people, both involved in a passion for billiards. One , a highly regarded player, collector of fine cues and also a recent inductee into the New England Billiard Hall of Fame by the name of Bruce DiFronzo. The other Is a Local cue maker, par excellence by the name of Greg Kucharski, well known in the New England area and top players through out the country. There idea was to design a few cues in the old school tradition, with modern construction. They stayed with the 5/16x14 steel joint, slim butt, buzz ring and a forward weight cue, instead of the old fat butt and have all the weight in the rear. Many of the famous cue makers past and present use steel jointed cues, to name a few, Balabushka, Gus and Barry Szamboti, Tim Scruggs, Tascarella, Black Boar. The results were fantastic, not only a thing of beauty in the old school tradition, but also a great playing cue. Each cue is unique in design with long sharp points and colorful veneers.I am a friend to both Bruce and Greg and a BCA instructor for many years and felt the results should be seen by billiard enthusiasts. Greg can be reached at 860-276-1281.
