A few new Jim Murnak cases to look at:

I have made a few new cases that I would like you to look at. The first is the case that Randy mentioned in another thread that was a copy of a Ginacue. I worked for a long time on it to make it work structurally as well as visually.

The other is a Vintage case that is fully carved with western carving. I have always wanted to do western carving on a case. I used to do this kind of carving when I was very young. When I was thirteen I carved a holster. Ironically 46 years later I'm making holsters and doing western carving.

Thank you

Scott,
Considering your bio, I feel extremely complimented. It was an interesting project.

Thanks,
Jim

That carving work is hot looking too. I know similar cases go for $500 more.

Have you ever done the Sheridan style with the dyes? How much time does it take to carve a case like the SouthWest?

Those cases are both simply stunning. When it comes to both form and function I feel you have now surpassed all other case makers, custom or otherwise. And in such a relatively short period of time.

I wonder if you could do some Celtic knotwork carving akin to the western carving seen in the Southwest case with a Celtic cross in the area of where you have the cactus plant. I am sure to be in touch in the future to find out once my finances reach the required level to take the leap. I was a little sceptical of your work at first I admit but now I am simply in awe of it.

Anything is possible

There are many styles of carving, tooling, and designing. I think that I am capable of doing any of them even if I have to see it before I do it. I welcome designs that make the cases more personal. I can do any type of logo or script or animal or pretty much anything that can be drawn or painted. As far as particular designs that have to be incorporated into a total design, I may need to see an example, but that is all I would need.

The South West case to answer an earlier question took about 8 hours of carving after the design part(plotting out the patterns).

Thanks,
JIm
