A few thoughts on the "AZ family".

I think Mr. Wilson does an excellent job of being a 'mod'. It takes a level headed approach with a non-biased attitude to keep things straight around here and I must say that even I couldn't have done a better job. ;)

As with anything else in life, you gotta know how to sort through all the BS. I think people would enjoy the place much more if they only knew how to turn the 'right cheek' instead of turning to the 'wrong cheeks' :kma: :D

All you have to do is read a few threads:

personal attacks,
religious CTE followers and the pagans slinging back and forth,
transactions going bad,
attacks on newbies over stupid questions,
ass kissing of 'reputable' members,
drooling over chicks……..

I would say the poster has a point to a degree.

All in all best place on the internet for pool information and if AZ would disappear we all would have a void in our lives.

I agree with all of the negatives posted above, plus a few more. I did witness the original posters "flogging" for an unpopular view on the epic OMGWTF thread.

All I know is that when you choose to defend yourself here it is like fighting a swarm of bees. More and more posters pile on, usually not reading the thread and it's just a gang bang.

Mature adults realize that others are permitted to have unpopular opinions, that doesn't allow others to ridicule them, or at least it shouldn't.

Lots of cool people here, with alot of knowledge to offer. People just need to try and maintain civility and we will all be okay.

I could see AZ being like my family growing up. When everyone got together the smoke was so thick you could cut with a knife. I always had a cousin that was waiting for any opportunity to bust my bubble and an uncle always borrowing money (yes from a child). I also had the uncle that was always negative about everything. You also have the step end of the family where everyone gets creeped out the first time you meet the new wife's kids. You know the loud, disrespectful kids where fart humor never seams to lose its comic appeal. After the tenth time in one evening they squeeze one out its just not funny anymore.

Yeah AZ is like a family I suppose. People are the same all over.
