But, if you have bought enough cues from custom cue makers, you know as well as I do that sometimes things happen and cues take longer than expected.

All I'm saying is that you should expect and anticipate a longer lead time than quoted.

I would love to see some statistics showing "Promised Date" versus "Actual Delivery Date". I think that many would be surprissed.

Regarding the KV issue. I think that he has made great strides to do the right thing for his customers. Will he ever be as communicative as his customers would like?? Probably not!! Will he ever turn cues around as quickly as he and his customers would like?? Probably not!!

I really don't care if I order a cue from him or another custom cue maker and It takes a year instead of 8 or 10 or 12 months.

I know that I will be getting a fantastic product for my money.

Again, I know that this will fall on deaf ears with many AZ'ers and that is fine. To each their own!!!

Russ you like every one else here has the right to their opinion, isn't America a great country!!!!:D

However, while you have touched upon the subject you have not covered it. We all know that cue makers at times have problems when building a cue, I most likely understand this better than you because I also build cues. But, as a cue maker if I make a mistake or if things go bad I take care of the customer, now one thing that I do not do is make my customers pay for cues up front, which in my opinion is a Bad thing to do. I believe that when you take some ones money you are committed to having a cue finished in the established time frame, and people in most cases who spend their money expect you to honor the time frame. Now if you do not honor it, again in my opinion you must give the customer the choice of refund at that time, this is where Good Business practices come into the picture, along with good customer service, this way you protect your reputation. Lets face it, anyone who has a reputation as a good cue maker should be able to resell the cue easily, at least I have no problem doing so with my cues.

Lets face it Russ we are not talking about a large High End Cue Maker here who has thousands or even hundreds of orders, I mean how many cue makers with this work load do you see selling their cues on AZ Billiards, I can help you out none!!;)

Like I said before when ever these problems occur with certain people there are always those like yourself who slither out from under a rock. So how is your other Buddy, Brian AKA Scruggsinhand isn't he the last forum member you supported in a similar situation to this one?:thumbup2::yeah:

Oh and by the way, doing Polls is your Job and no one would want to take what little enjoyment you have in life away from you. But, I hope you use protection and plenty of lubrication when you are doing all those poles, because it could be a real pain were you sit if your not careful!!!!:D

Couple things here.
1. you must have a reading compression problem. Where did I support KV?
I was trying to get the OP to actually name him so others would know.

2. I didn't support that other guy either. If I remember your "poll" (which wasn't really a poll ) was about second chances and you didn't list all the facts. (how odd) I do support giving second chances but not always and I stated that clearly. It's no surprise though that you didn't get that with your reading problem and all.

3. Your "pole" joke reminds me of a 6 year old. Again no surprise.

Oh I was diffidently trolling you in this thread thanks for biting. I'm trying to point out that you're a hypocrite.(But of course this was all very very clear to you , right LOL) You're a hypocrite that likes to start "polls" wink wink and threads with the sole propose of doing exactly what you've just accused me of doing.
