In a game of 9 ball if you hit the designated ball, the correct order of ball, but that ball hits the 9 accidently and goes into a pocket does that count?

The game is over as long as you make a legal hit on the object-ball.
In kung-fu, if you mean to strike the nose but hit the mouth, does it still hurt?

There may be some fun being poked on your question....but if you have any confusion about 9 ball because of any matches you may have seen on TV there are variations to certain tournies (tournaments) rules. Like the International challenge (men) and International tournament of champions (woman). They are a ESPN tournie that is winner take all and they make you call the 9 no matter what. And the 9 on the snap (the break) doesn't count in those tournies either. Other then that the 9 falls on any legal hit it counts; this is why 9 ball is the best hustlers game!
