Hi all,

I'd like buy a custom sneaky pete to use with my predator uni-loc shaft.
I was wondering who made a good sneaky.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

thanks

Josey makes a great sneaky at a reasonable price. However, he doesn't use a uni-loc joint. You'd have to talk with him about either his willingness to use a uni-loc on the butt, or he could customize a Predator shaft to fit his cue.

Dont know about if they do uni loc, but Bob Frey and Josey make some great sneakies. I say ditch the uni loc anyway.

Ed is right. I love my Josey Sneaky. You would have to ask Keith about the Uni-Loc. You can't go wrong though with a Josey Sneaky.

I used to play with a predator sneaky (butt) with Z2.. unilock of course.... Is the predator not "sneaky" enough for you?

(I guess I need to sell mine)

my buddy just got a lucasi sneeky pete and that will fit with your uni loc joint. its a nice stick and reasonably priced as all lucasis are.

A buddy of mine just had a jam up butt made for his Predator shafts, linen wrap and longer than standard . He said it cost 260

Schmelke makes a surprisingly good Sneaky Pete that is tough to beat. The Uniloc Joint is an option. You have a lot of wood choices and custom options. We sell lots of them and get a lot of positive feedback. They are one of the best kept secrets in the industry.

Last night at the poolhall, another league player had a Schmelke Sneaky with the Uniloc. With a Predator 314-2 shaft, it hits pretty well but his biggest problem that that it looks too much like a house cue. One time the house staff thought it was theirs and put it back on the wall when he went for a bathroom break.

A good sneaky pete? That would be my Uncle Peter Steamer. He was all the time running around on my Aunt Hazel, staying out late and...what? He meant a sneaky pete pool cue? Well, in that case my choice would be an old Heubler. :)

That is a good point; however, for some people, that is exactly what they want. The term "Sneaky Pete" has somewhat turned into a general term for a no wrap cue with points. We get a lot of requests for the Schmelke rosewood sneaky Pete with a Predator shaft without the Predator logo and without the Schmelke logo on the butt. The end result is a fantastic playing true Sneaky Pete. For these players, the house staff putting the cue on the rack is the biggest compliment of all.

You're right, the Schmelke doesn't have the red/black or green/black veneers of the Predator Sneaky Pete. Maybe your shop should advertise a sneaky pete package special. No logos, or option of a fake logo, something at a quick glance would resemble a Valley imprint or a Dufferin style Maple leaf, and refinished to purposely looked old. :-)

I agree, the term Sneaky Pete is being abused. In the ForSale section, someone recently describe a cue forsale as a sneaky pete with a wrap

sorry greg,
schmelke are true full splice cues?

Tap Tap to you Tramp. I just got an old Heubler sneakey. Hits like a dream. A little stiff but oh so crisp. I love it.

I also have a Josey on order. It will be done at the end of next month. I would highly recommend one.
