Capelle's Play Your Best Pool is what I am currently working with.

How would this compare?

Phil Capelle is probably the best instructional writer I have found so far. PYBP is an excellent book.

"Advanced Pool" by George Fels is very good, also, as well as Freddy the Beard's books.

I haven't read the one from the OP yet, but I'll give it a try...If you only learn one tidbit of knowledge from each book you buy, it's well worth the cover price, imo.

I have this book and I took two really good drills from it. One on stoke where you shot a straight shot into the corner next to the long rail over and over again, the goal is to break 50 and I have done it 76 times. The other is a nine ball drill where there is a ball on the rail at every middle diamond and on the center, foot, and head spot. Very tough to run out consistently.

"PRICE!"

I'm so cheap I laugh at myself.

Although I have an extensive home library, until I have a feel for the author's work I take a test drive from the public library.

This one is still on the test drive, but I think I'll buy it.
