"A guy that calls himself "Colorado Charlie, a former pro player"?

This sort of thing happens every single year. APA 7's are the best and easiest money in the country.

Well, it can go both ways.

I'm sure you are goofing around, but i would guess that the majority on this board might not be stealing against all APA 7's. While there are some APA guys that are "weak 7's", I've seen some APA 7's that would take a real solid shortstop to rob. If you can't cash a few rounds deep at the US Open, you might not get there, if you know what I mean.

Im not kidding at all.... I don't even have to take my cue out of my case every year at the APA stuff.... I just bet with my friends or back shortstop and road players that I know. They come out every year, and every year they get tons of action.

Ya not every AZ player is going to get rich going their, but any A player can make a killing in the practice room at the APA events in Vegas.

It sounds like we are on the same page.

IMO, it takes more than an A player to get the bigger cash, tho. An A player can come out winner, but the guys they can beat usually pull up before going off big.

They're so easy, you don't even play them yourself?

Easy pickins.. for shortstops and road players?

Ahh.. I think I know what you're getting at..

You're somewhat right, but a lot of players that are normally smart enough to quite tend not to do so when they are drunk. And especially if they had a really good night at the casion tables, or sometimes if they had a REALLY bad night and are just going off.

I remember a couple years ago, a buddy of mine who I won't name came thru. He was beating up all the 7's and losing all the cash he made in the poker room. I literally backed him in maybe 20-30 different games anywhere from $20/game to $2k a set. Then after word got around that he could play some of the APA 7's started trying to stake some of the other shortstops and road players agasint my guy. He mopped the floor with them, I remember particularly one kid from Philly was there who everyone was saying was "unbeatable", my guy crushed him. THEN these APA guys go out and find of all people Walter Glass at some local room there in vegas and try to have him come snap off my man. My guy made quicker work of Walter than I thought he would, because in Walter's prime he was a monster.

With all that being said, if you are an A player you can make a few thousand easy, if your a sporty shortstop you can make 10k if your smart. If your a champion you can make a freaking KILLING.

a certain pro made that same mistake

Just be careful of some 7's...lol Like my 19 year old friend who is a APA 7. A well known pro tried to take him down last year at the APA's. The funny thing was they didn't know who each other were... lol Small 200 dollar sets and the pro quits after the kid beats him 5 straight sets...

This does happen once in a blue moon, especially with younger players who not a lot of people know. Lucky I traveled for work and have played and met people all across the country, so if I don't know who a player is 99% of the time one of my friends will.

I agree with that. I have seen APA 4/5s straight up ROBBING the minis. They sandbag in league back home, come out to Vegas to ONLY play in the minis which require no qualifying and as far as I know have nobody checking the handicap levels. People that can give me weight are playing two classes below me.

It's very easy to run into a champion who happens to have an APA card.

looks like a deer caught in headlights...

i'll take the UNDER that it doesn't turn into another 22+ page masterfull work of fiction

Nah, here is my side of it. Eric tried to get YouTube to pull it but they agreed with me that it's fair use to use Eric's video to comment on it.

I did what I said I would do. And then later that night on that very table me and my friends partied and gambled and had a great time. So much nicer to gamble with people you like than to give people you don't a shot at your money. As I said though if Eric has changed his attitude for the better then I will give him a little shot at some gas money when I spend some time in Edison.

See you all at the SBE.
