A little game with dhakala

That doesn't sound very "Zen-like", it sounds downright rude. As a person that is studying the principles of Zen on a casual level, even I wouldn't say something like that.

Get serious about studying Zen, and you will learn better.

Really? I thought the concept was about acceptance and understanding, not telling someone to go screw themselves. Maybe I am reading the wrong books.

1 to 3 As a Buddhist, he can't gamble

He may TRY to use that one, which is why you laid odds on it. But the reality is that Zen Buddhism is not a religion per se and there is absolutely nothing wrong with gambling. I should know. (I am, and I do) His intent or motivation behind the bet is what's important.

No Game

This guy's not gonna play me, or anyone else. In the old days, we called guys like this "pool imposters". Freddie can tell you.

After The Hustler came out, for years we would see guys come in the poolroom with fancy cases and nice cues. They usually would get a table and bang a few balls around. They always played for the crowd, making sure that someone was watching while they attempted difficult banks and combos.

They could play well enough to make a semblance of a stroke. And that is about all. In actuality they could barely make two balls in a row. They would only smile when approached to play, offering some excuse like they didn't have time right now, or the best one, "save your money". And that is what we have here today folks, for your viewing pleasure, a modern day 'pool imposter'.

A "pool imposter" going by the name of Dhakala, who claims to be a Zen Cueist, whatever that is. He is a faker in Pool, and in life, hiding the truth from himself as well as others. He has somehow found solace and safety in the anonymity of the Internet. No one can see his inadequacies here. He can hide behind his mask of bravado, casting stones from afar.

We know who you are David. You can go play your games somewhere else now. No one cares David. No one cares. You have overstayed your welcome in the AZBilliards poolroom. Please take your inferiority complex and various and sundry insecurities somewhere else. You can't play here anymore. We play to good for you.

I accept and understand he is a moron.
Do I get my Zen Card now?

LMFAO!! :D :D

That's closer than anything else that's been written in this thread, Grasshopper :p

Mr. Hakala probably has "retarded adolescent syndrome" or something along that line, coupled with masochistic urges. Pulling this stuff and being dumped upon seems to be his bag. What an existence, if it can even be called that...

Or reading too casually.

The goal of Buddhism is the elimination of suffering. I will not suffer Jay Halpert, and I explained why. Nothing un-Zen in that.

But Zen principles also explain that you can learn from anyone, yet you shun Mr. Helfert and tell him that you don't ever want to meet him. Doesn't that mean you are cutting yourself off from learning from him?

Elimination of suffering.......yes, but how? If you used your example with everyone you would be a very lonely man.

Jay, you have made your point, and i for one think, that, you need not waste any more time on the zen foolist.

I should go on record, though, if you needed a bank in this action, just send me a pm. I'd be happy to be part of exposing the truth.

rg

btw, jay, i would also suggest putting him on your ignore list. I wouldn't let this guy, or anyone else like him, living rent free in my head.

Why not, I am sure he has been living "rent free" in his parents basement for years.

Once more, Jay, you delude yourself with the past, Incorrectly Thinking that it is the present.

No, you don't. Yes, I can if I choose. No one of your ilk, I'm sure. I'll await our host's opinion. No. Yes, I can. Not here, you don't. :p

i did that awhile ago, too. Seems like he wins people over wherever he is.

Same here a couple weeks ago when he chimed in with his 2 cent statements during my Painpool ordeal. This guy is a diamond in the rough for sure.

Dhakala if it is funding you are lacking to play Jay, I'm sure you could get Chuck Starkey to back you. I'm sure you have sent plenty of business his way with your moronic comments.

I'd have to say that after doing some reading into DHakala's posts, that's some awesome "stuff". Methinks the ignore button is something that might be utilized shortly.

"Zen Cueist".........my ass. Give yourself a different name and quit giving a good concept a bad name. I wouldn't doubt that the only person that calls you that is yourself, what a joke.

Dodge Ball

I heard from a reliable source that Chuck was on the Zen dodge. For Chuck its just been a terrible nightmare that won't go away.

Pinocchio

I'm sure it won't be long before his imaginery cuemaker friend will be on the Zen dodge also.
